This policy explains what personal data Web Tools Verdict (webtoolverdict.com) collects, why, and your rights. The site is owned and run by Lokendra Singh, who is the data controller.
What we collect
- Messages you send us: your name, email address and message when you email us or use the contact form.
- Usage data: pages viewed, device, browser, approximate location and referring site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Server logs: IP address and request details kept by our host for security.
We don’t currently run a newsletter or user accounts at this time.
Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. GA4 uses cookies and does not store full IP addresses. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or through our cookie settings.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
We may show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can turn off personalised ads at Google Ads Settings or learn more at How Google uses cookies in advertising. Visitors in the UK and EEA are asked for consent first through a Google-certified consent tool.
Affiliate links and cookies
When you click an affiliate link, the vendor or affiliate network may set a cookie to record that you came from our site. That data is handled under their privacy policy. We receive commission reports, not your personal details.
Why we use your data (legal bases)
- Replying to your messages: legitimate interests.
- Analytics and personalised ads: your consent where the law requires it (UK and EEA).
- Security and server logs: legitimate interests.
How long we keep data
Emails are kept for up to 24 months unless we need them longer. GA4 data is kept for 14 months. Server logs follow our host’s retention period.
Sharing and international transfers
We share data only with service providers that run the site, such as our host, Google and affiliate networks. Some of them process data outside your country, including in the US and India, under safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights
UK and EEA (UK GDPR / GDPR): you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or move your data, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. You can complain to the ICO (UK) or your local data protection authority.
Australia (Privacy Act 1988): you can access and correct your personal information. If you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to the OAIC.
California (CCPA/CPRA): you can ask what personal information we collect, ask us to delete it, and opt out of its “sale” or “sharing” for targeted ads. We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising cookies may count as “sharing”; you can opt out through our cookie settings or Google Ads Settings. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
Children
This site is for adults running businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
