Affiliate Disclosure

Short notice: We may earn a commission if you buy through links on this page, at no extra cost to you. This never affects our scores. The same notice covers readers in the United States (FTC), the United Kingdom (ASA) and Australia.

Short version: Web Tools Verdict earns money when you buy some products through links on our site. It costs you nothing extra and does not change our verdicts.

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and sign up or buy, the vendor may pay us a commission. The price you pay is the same as going direct. Sometimes we can share an exclusive discount, and we will say so when we do.

How we show them

Pages with affiliate links carry a short notice near the top. Affiliate links are marked with rel="sponsored" in our code, as Google recommends. We do not hide paid relationships in small print.

Commissions don’t buy rankings

Vendors cannot pay for a better score, a higher ranking or a positive review. We recommend tools we have no affiliate deal with when they are the better fit, and we point out weaknesses in tools we do earn from. See How We Test and our Editorial Policy.

Advertising

We may show ads served by Google AdSense. We do not choose individual ads, and ads do not influence our content. Sponsored content, if we ever publish any, will be clearly labelled “Sponsored” or “Advertisement”.

Free products and gifts

If a vendor gives us free access, an extended trial or any other benefit, we disclose it in the relevant review.

Rules we follow

This disclosure is written to meet the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Endorsement Guides, the UK CAP Code enforced by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), and Australian Consumer Law as enforced by the ACCC.
