What this page covers

This page lists the cookies WebTool Verdict uses, or may use later. It does not describe cookies set by other websites.

Necessary

wtv_consent is a first-party cookie. It stores your choice as JSON with four fields: v (the consent version), ts (when you chose, as a Unix timestamp), statistics (true or false), and marketing (true or false). It lasts 6 months. The site reads it to remember whether you allowed statistics and marketing cookies, and asks again if the consent version changes. This cookie is always stored when you use Accept all, Reject all, or Save preferences.

Statistics

If a Google Analytics 4 measurement ID is configured and you allow statistics, Google may set:

  • _ga — distinguishes visitors. Google keeps it for up to 2 years.
  • _ga_<measurement-id> — stores session state for that Analytics property. Google keeps it for up to 2 years.

These are not set when statistics are rejected, or when no measurement ID is configured. Until you choose, Analytics storage stays denied.

Marketing

Advertising cookies are not in use on this site today. If Google AdSense or other Google ads are added later, and you allow marketing, Google may set its own advertising cookies. Those cookies are covered by the marketing choice. They are not set while marketing storage is denied.

Some review and comparison links go to a partner site. After you click, that partner may set cookies on its own domain. WebTool Verdict does not set those cookies and does not control them.

How to change your choice

Use Cookie settings in the footer to open the preferences again. Accept all allows statistics and marketing. Reject all refuses both. Necessary storage of the choice itself stays on.
